The number of terrorist attacks committed by children in Ukraine is growing: two such cases were recorded in Mykolaiv region

The number of terrorist attacks committed by children recruited on Telegram is rapidly increasing in Ukraine. Currently, Kyiv region is the leader in the number of such attacks. Two cases have been recorded in Mykolaiv region during the war.

This was reported by Texty.org, whose journalists collected and analysed all SSU reports on terrorist attacks.

More than 10 terrorist acts committed by children were recorded in Odesa, Zhytomyr, Dnipro and Kharkiv regions.

«Kyiv region is the leader in terms of the number of terrorist attacks. However, it should be noted that this region (Kyiv plus the oblast) is home to the largest number of people. On average, the picture may not differ much by region. It is impossible to make a map with the number of terrorist attacks, say, per 10,000 inhabitants of a region, because it is not known how many people live in the frontline regions today», the statement said.

It is noted that at the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Russia activated «sleeper» agents recruited in previous years through personal contacts, family ties or blackmail. Representatives of pro-Russian organisations and criminals were also actively involved, with whom the Russians had been cooperating on a regular basis.

However, the situation has now changed. According to the newspaper, most recruits are now looking for quick money. Russian agents also used blackmail, manipulation and internal motives to recruit agents who were not sorry to lose or exchange.

As a reminder, a woman suspected of preparing a contract terrorist attack was detained in Mykolaiv.

Earlier, on 11 March, law enforcement officers detained a 19-year-old student in Mykolaiv who is suspected of preparing a terrorist attack near the National Police building.
