Soborna Street in Mykolaiv. Photo: NikVestiAccording to a decision by the executive committee of the Mykolaiv City Council, the municipal enterprise Mykolaiv Parks will be responsible for cleaning Soborna Street.
The decision was made at a meeting of the executive committee on Wednesday, 14 January, according to NikVesti.
Ihor Nabatov, deputy director of the Mykolaiv Department of Housing and Communal Services, noted that this concerns the section of Soborna Street from Tsentralnyi Avenue to Admiralska Street. According to him, this area was previously cleaned using equipment from ELU Avtodorig, but now it will be done by the Mykolaiv Parks municipal enterprise.
The reason for this decision was complaints from residents about noise.
«We received complaints from residents of buildings on Soborna Street that large equipment was being used, which caused significant discomfort. Therefore, it was decided to replace heavy equipment with more compact and mobile equipment to reduce the noise level during cleaning,» explained Ihor Nabatov.
We would like to remind you that in Mykolaiv, schedules for mechanised street cleaning have been developed, which from this year will be carried out by the municipal enterprise ELU Avtodorшп. Work is planned to start in January.
As is known, from 1 January 2026, mechanised street cleaning in Mykolaiv was transferred to the municipal enterprise ELU Avtodorшп, and part of the work on the removal of dangerous trees was transferred to district administrations.
We will remind you that the deputy director of the Mykolaiv Housing and Utilities Department, Ihor Nabatov, said that mechanised street cleaning in Mykolaiv was transferred to the municipal enterprise ELU Avtodorшп because it had «proved itself» in mechanised street and road cleaning.
In addition, Ihor Nabatov said that the municipal enterprise Mykolaiv Parks does not have time to process all requests for the removal of dangerous trees, so part of this work will be transferred to district administrations.
Then the mayor of Mykolaiv, Oleksandr Sienkevych, added that the administrations will continue to control mechanised cleaning and approve work schedules, but will no longer pay for these services. Cleaning will be carried out by the municipal enterprise ELU Avtodorig, which will receive appropriate funding.
