UNOPS has announced a re-tender for the construction of a new outpatient clinic in Bashtanka: a contractor is being sought

The United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) has announced a tender for the construction of a new outpatient clinic in Bashtanka.

This has been reported on the official website.

This is a repeat procurement procedure under a Request for Quotations (RFQ) for the construction of a modern primary healthcare facility.

Contractors capable of carrying out the construction work in accordance with the project’s technical specifications are invited to participate.

The tender procedure includes:

• an information session for potential participants;

• a possible site visit to inspect the construction site;

• submission of proposals via the UNOPS e-procurement system.

Companies planning to participate must register on the UN Global Marketplace (UNGM) and the UNOPS eSourcing system.

The deadline for submitting tenders is 16 July 2026 at 12:00 Kyiv time. Applications must be submitted exclusively via the UNOPS Sourcing platform through the UNGM portal.

UNOPS emphasises that, to participate in the procurement process, companies must be registered as suppliers on the UNGM system and authorised on the UNOPS eSourcing system. Instructions on registration and participation are available on the organisation’s official websites.

Reconstruction of the hospital in Bashtanka

The multi-speciality hospital in Bashtanka was hit by a missile strike on 19 April 2022. As a result of the attack, the outpatient clinic building was damaged and two hospital wards were partially damaged.

The Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration has announced a tender for the reconstruction of the medical wing of the Bashtanka General Hospital. The cost of the works has been estimated at 139.7 million hryvnias. A tender had previously been announced for the repair of the roof of one of the hospital’s buildings.

In June 2023, the Cabinet of Ministers allocated 45.3 million hryvnias for the reconstruction of the hospital’s medical wing in Bashtanka. A further 86.8 million hryvnias was earmarked for the reconstruction of the polyclinic.

Subsequently, the government allocated 251 million 107 thousand hryvnias for the reconstruction of the partially destroyed Bashtanka Multidisciplinary Hospital in 2024.

In total, the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration was due to spend 311 million hryvnias on the reconstruction of the hospital in Bashtanka, but the prices of building materials turned out to be higher than market prices.

Following this, at the end of August 2024, the Mykolaiv Military State Administration signed two contracts for the reconstruction of the buildings of the Bashtanka General Hospital, totalling 314.2 million hryvnias.

At the same time, thanks to cooperation with the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), work began in Bashtanka to renovate the surgical ward of the general hospital.
