Media Development Foundation (MDF) supports independent media in Ukraine, fostering their development through educational programs and mentorship. Two key initiatives include: Local Media Relaunch Initiative, launched in 2023, helps reboot and support media outlets in front-line and liberated regions of Ukraine. The program provides training, mentorship, funding, and resources for creating high-quality content. Its goal is to provide local communities with reliable information and ensure financial independence for media. Community Leaders is another important MDF program that helps media become leaders in their regions. Participants develop skills in content creation, distribution, and media management, which strengthens their influence and supports democracy in Ukraine. Both programs aim to develop regional media by providing them with the necessary knowledge and resources for growth. The online media outlet "NikVesti" participated in the Relaunch program in 2023 and, from September 2024, has been part of the Community Leaders program by MDF.
