Kim said that by the end of the year, residents of the Mykolaiv region will receive partial compensation for flooded housing

By the end of 2023, part of the residents of the Mykolaiv region, who lost their homes due to the explosion of the Kakhovska HPP, will receive compensation from the government for the purchase of new housing.

His deputies told about this during the briefing of the head of Mykolayiv RMA Vitalii Kim, writes NikVesti.

We are talking about two communities that suffered the greatest destruction — Snihurivska and Horohivska.

According to Vitalii Kim, the amount of money allocated by the state as compensation exceeds the number of applications with a complete set of documents. They are currently reserved, but not yet allocated to the residents of the affected communities.

«This is one of the indicators that the state and the Cabinet of Ministers always monitor us regarding the pace of processing applications by commissions so that they can pay money faster. The money for this is reserved for 100%. I'd say 150% actually. The issue of processing documents in the work at the places of the commissions. This applies to territorial communities. They themselves are interested in their people receiving money. The pace is normal, considering the lack of documents,» said Vitalii Kim.

The deputy head of RMA Valentyn Haidarzhi added that on Tuesday, December 26, «Oschadbank» requested personal accounts.

«We are working on this step, and I think that already this year some residents will receive compensation,» he emphasized.

We remind, 5 months after the explosion of the Kakhovska HPP , NikVesti visited the village of Afanasiivka in the Mykolaiv region and talked with a family whose house was destroyed by the power of water.

As you know, as of November, more than 20 million hryvnias have already been charged to the residents of the Snihurivka community for damage to real estate due to flooding. However, as Ivan Kukhta said, these funds have not yet been credited to the local government.

We remind, at dawn on June 6, it became known about the undermining of the Kakhovska HPP. In a matter of hours, villages and cities of Kherson region and Mykolaiv region were in the flooding zone. In particular, the water passed through 13 settlements of the Snihurivka community.

Already on June 9, it became known that the water rose by 6 meters. It took several weeks for the water to recede.

Within the community, 375 houses were destroyed due to flooding.
