The head of the Mykolaiv regional military administration, Vitalii Kim, has announced a plan to restore the region's economy after the end of the full-scale war.
He announced this during a press conference on 30 December, according to NikVesti.
According to Vitalii Kim, 60 large enterprises are planned to open in the region, which will operate on the basis of technology parks. One of them, the head of the Regional State Administration expects, may open as early as 2025.
«How do we see what to do after everything ends with our victory, which everyone is waiting for? How can we rebuild a region that is difficult for business? One of our bets is on technology parks. We have two of them registered. One large one is under construction. We have already held quite serious negotiations on them. And we have a rather ambitious plan to create 60 large enterprises in the Mykolaiv region with the help of international business. They all have one condition: that the war ends, and then they will do something. But we are preparing for them to do so. The site is ready, the infrastructure is ready. But I think this project can be implemented in 2025-26. I hope that the first one will open in 2025,» said Vitalii Kim.
Industrial parks in Mykolaiv region
In July 2024, the Economic Development Committee held an offsite meeting in Mykolaiv. It discussed the creation of two industrial parks in the Mykolaiv region: the private «Techno Park Voznesensk» and the municipal «Mykolaiv».
The villages of Novofedorivka and Berizky, Nova Odesa and Bashtanka also submitted their project proposals for the creation of parks.
Prior to that, in March 2024, the Mykolaiv industrial park «Energy» was removed from the official register due to the lack of performance reports. Since 2018, it had been located in Korabelnyi district and occupied a 36-hectare plot of land.
The mayor of Mykolaiv, Oleksandr Sienkevych, believes that the state should help create technology and industrial parks in the areas destroyed or damaged by the war to provide jobs and fill local budgets.
And the Secretary of Mykolaiv City Council, Dmytro Falko, believes that the free economic zone will help open a «window of opportunity» for investors who will come to Mykolaiv and be ready to invest in business.
At the same time, Oleksandr Pasichnyi, MP, believes that Mykolaiv needs to study the experience of creating industrial parks in order to attract investors and replenish the city budget in the future.
The newly registered SUNART industrial park is planned to be built in the Kryve Ozero community of Pervomaiskyi district, Mykolaiv region.
