The Ministry of Education is developing a financial literacy curriculum for preschoolers. The ministry is working on the document together with the National Bank of Ukraine.

This is stated in a statement on the website of the Ministry of Education and Culture.

It is noted that the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Individual Deposit Guarantee Fund and the National Securities and Stock Market Commission have jointly developed the Financial Competence Framework for children and youth (ages 5 to 18).

Based on this document, a special financial literacy program for preschoolers is being developed. It is planned to be introduced in kindergartens throughout the country.

«According to the document, financial education should start from preschool age. The earlier a child begins to master financial knowledge and skills, the easier it will be for him to make balanced and effective financial decisions in the future, as well as to be financially successful. From the youngest age, children will learn what money is, what is its value, how to plan expenses and save money,» the Ministry of Education and Culture said in a statement.

The ministry noted that the document pays special attention to issues of financial security.

«Children of preschool age should understand the risks of losing money or valuables, as well as be aware of the dangers associated with fraudsters and strangers interested in financial matters,» the ministry said in a statement.

We will remind you that the training program «Operator of civil drones» will be opened at the Mykolaiv Institute of Vocational and Technical Education.
