Ukraine returned another child from the occupation / Photo from open sourcesAnother child, a 17-year-old boy, was returned from the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson region to the territory controlled by Ukraine.
Oleksandr Prokudin, head of Kherson RMA, reported this.
«For two years, the underage boy had to live in the occupation and go to a Russian school. What scared the young man the most was that after the so-called youth army, the Russians would force him to fight against the Motherland. Now he is already seventeen. All this time, the boy continued to hope to return to Ukraine,» the message reads.
It is noted that it was possible to return the boy home with the help of the Save Ukraine volunteer organization. He is already in a safe place with his family, under the supervision of doctors and psychologists.
According to Oleksandr Prokudin, since the beginning of 2024, 48 children have already been returned from the temporarily occupied Kherson Region.
It will be recalled that on Thursday, February 8, the United Nations Committee on the Rights of the Child called on Russia to stop the deportation of Ukrainian children from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine and return them to their families, considering such actions as a violation of international law.
