For almost two years, residents of high-rise buildings on the Aliaudy peninsula in Mykolaiv have been living in half-ruins left after rocket strikes. One of the residents of Aliaudy, Nadiia Stefarak, said that the roof of her house could fall every day.
This is stated in the report NikVesti «The roof may fall» How they live in destroyed houses in Mykolaiv.»
On the night of August 24, 2022, 3 Russian missiles hit Nadiia's house. This house has been without a complete roof for almost two years. Instead, the residents of the house have to cover the roof with a film, while waiting for repairs.
«The corridor is also collapsing, the ceiling is cracked. «I'm afraid that our roof will collapse, it's constantly pouring,» said the woman.
The residents of the house covered the roof with a tarpaulin, but this is not enough for a comfortable and safe life. In some places, the roof covering is tearing.
«We were given this tarpaulin and told that our turn would not come soon. In two years, of course, it was torn off, it already has a hole in half of the apartment. «When it rains outside, it rains in the apartment,» complained Nadiia.
Residents are asking the local authorities to solve the problem and repair the building, which is in a state of emergency.
Valerii Pavliuk lived in the neighboring house, which burned down as a result of a direct hit. The man's apartment was completely burned down.
«There were two small rooms, not big: one 9 meters, and the other 12. Well, that's all that remained of them. Everything else was burned,» said the man.
The house is planned to be demolished. According to Viktor, during this time he did not receive any help.
«I immediately called the police, went to the SSU, filed all the documents. But it's all dead weight. And so far no one has helped me. We were told that this house cannot be restored,» said the man.
