Next year, the war in Ukraine will bring much deeper and more severe challenges, especially towards the end of the year.

This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Great Britain, David Lammy, who was quoted by The Guardian.

According to him, the delicate negotiations with the White House regarding allowing Ukraine to use Storm Shadow missiles against targets deep in Russia are still ongoing and require «nerves and courage.»

He also emphasized that at the end of 2025 and in 2026, the difficulties and challenges of the war in Ukraine will become «deeper and more severe.»

David Lammy emphasized that Ukraine and its Western allies are discussing the needs of the Armed Forces beyond simply maintaining the current front line.

«As the Minister of Foreign Affairs, of course, I am not going to comment on operational details, because that can only help Putin. But there is a real-time discussion among allies about how we can support Ukraine as we head into winter,» David Lammy noted.

It will be recalled that the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Great Britain, David Cameron, stated that London does not object to the use of weapons against targets inside the Russian Federation.

Instead, US President Joe Biden said that American weapons should not be used by Ukraine to strike more than 320 kilometers deep into Russia. Kyiv cannot beat Moscow and the Kremlin with it.
