International Criminal Court will continue to work on Ukraine despite possible US sanctions

This was stated by Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesman Heorhii Tykhyi.
According to him, Ukraine will continue to cooperate with the ICC, as the court is a key tool in bringing Russian criminals to justice.
«I think the American decisions are not related to the Ukrainian context. And we hope that they will not affect the court's ability to achieve justice for the victims of Russian aggression», he said.
It should be noted that Reuters, citing a White House official, reported that US President Donald Trump plans to sign an executive order imposing sanctions on the International Criminal Court.
As a reminder, Ukraine became the 125th state party to the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court. Starting from 1 January 2025, it will have the same rights as other states, i.e. it will become a full member of the Court.
