Serhii Sukhomlyn, head of the Reconstruction Agency, presented a project to build 50,000 apartments for Ukrainians who lost their homes due to the war.

He stated this at the ReBuild Ukraine international conference in Warsaw.

«I want to thank the communities that are living the hard trials of the war, that are close to the front line. Thank you for sticking by your people. Today, the state faces difficult tasks. The first task is to defeat the enemy. The second is to return people from abroad. To bring back those who left, who lost their homes and possibly hope. The projects of the Recovery Agency are aimed at supporting communities,» Sukhomlyn emphasized.

According to him, the pilot stage of the project will start already this year, within the framework of which 6,200 apartments will be built, located in the center and west of Ukraine.

«This is social housing, which should, among other things, be an additional argument for people to gradually return to Ukraine,» he added.

It should be noted that the ReBuild Ukraine international conference, which brought together the public sector and private business from more than 30 countries, is taking place in Warsaw.

It was previously reported that since the beginning of 2024, Ukrainian families have taken out 7,254 loans for a total amount of 12.4 billion hryvnias under the «eOselia» affordable housing program.
