In Bashtanka, there are plans to restore the city council building destroyed by shelling and equip it with the simplest shelter. The cost of this work is estimated at 28 million hryvnias.

The relevant tender has been published on the Prozorro public procurement platform, according to NikVesti.

It specifies that the 28 million hryvnias will come from the local budget.

According to the tender documentation, the contractor must complete general construction, electrical lighting and electrical installation work, install a fire alarm system and a heat supply system, install an internal lighting network, install furniture, and install water supply and drainage, ventilation and lightning protection systems by 25 December 2026.

The DREAM system indicates that the Bashtanka City Council building was damaged as a result of several shellings. The first was on 7 June 2022. At that time, the windows on the facade of the building were knocked out, the roof was damaged, the entrance and interior doors were knocked out, and the interior finish was damaged.

The second shelling occurred a month later, on 5 July 2022. A direct rocket hit in the courtyard of the Bashtanka City Council, about three metres from the building, damaged and deformed the outer wall of the basement, the outer walls, the interior partitions, the floors and the roof.

«Technical condition category '4' is classified as 'emergency' with a high probability of further destruction and falling building materials from a height. It is necessary to prepare design and estimate documentation and carry out urgent work to restore the building structures,» the report states.

Restoration of the hospital in Bashtanka

The multi-profile hospital in Bashtanka was hit by a rocket strike on 19 April 2022. As a result of the attack, the polyclinic building was damaged and two hospital wards were partially damaged.

The Mykolaiv Regional State Administration announced a tender for the reconstruction of the medical building of the Bashtanka Multidisciplinary Hospital. The work was estimated at 139.7 million hryvnias. Earlier, a tender was also announced for the repair of the roof of one of the hospital buildings.

In June 2023, the Cabinet of Ministers allocated 45.3 million hryvnias for the reconstruction of the hospital building in Bashtanka. Another 86.8 million hryvnias was planned to be allocated for the reconstruction of the polyclinic.

Subsequently, the government allocated 251 million 107 thousand hryvnias for the reconstruction of the partially destroyed Bashtanka Multidisciplinary Hospital in 2024.

In total, the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration was to spend 311 million hryvnias on the reconstruction of the hospital in Bashtanka, but the prices of building materials turned out to be higher than market prices.

After that, at the end of August 2024, the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration signed two contracts for the reconstruction of the buildings of the Bashtanka Multidisciplinary Hospital, with a total value of 314.2 million hryvnias.

At the same time, thanks to cooperation with the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), the surgical department of the multidisciplinary hospital in Bashtanka began to be renovated.
