The people of Mykolaiv told about the night shelling of the city that happened on the night of November 17. Then the Russian military hit Mykolaiv with a ballistic missile and Shahed drones.

A resident of one of the houses, Artem, said that his neighbor was wounded during the shelling, who was trying to take his own children to a safer place.

«When there were the first blows, the children were sleeping here, on a bunk bed. His wife told him to take the children, because if the ceiling falls, it will fall on them. He came to pick up the younger one and there was an explosion, he was injured. Then they went out and waited at the neighbor's until the air alarm was over,» says Artem, a resident of the neighboring house.

Another man, Yurii, shared that one of the flights happened in the center of a private yard, due to which his neighbors were buried under the rubble.

«It was about 4 in the morning — no one paid attention to the time, because there was a commotion. You can imagine, it flew right into the middle of the yard. Everyone went outside, I helped to get the neighbor,» says Yurii, a resident of the neighboring house.

Halyna, a resident of the neighboring house, recalls how her neighbor was injured as a result of the shelling, and all the windows in the house were broken.

«I was in the common room, I was about to get up, and then the windows started falling from all sides. Now everything was killed. Everything was on fire here. The neighbor was brought out, he was covered in blood. He fell, the ambulance took him away,» said Halyna.

On the night of November 16-17, Russian troops shelled Mykolaiv. As a result of the shelling, two women were killed, and four adults and two children were injured.

The strikes, as it became known later, were inflicted by an Iskander-M ballistic missile and several Shahed 131/136 drones.

Fires broke out in two houses on the spot, and firefighters extinguished them on an area of 150 and 20 square meters.

As a result of the attack in Mykolaiv, two residential buildings were destroyed and at least ten objects were damaged, including a high-rise building, four private houses, a shopping center, shops, non-residential premises and cars.

The «Portal» shopping center in Mykolaiv was also hit. The premises of the sports club «100TONN» were destroyed inside.

As Oleksii Stadnichenko, the owner of the shopping center, said, the strike occurred on the southern part of the building, where the enemy drone flew. A fire broke out on the spot, which was immediately extinguished by the fire extinguishing system even before the arrival of the relevant services.
