French partners have donated vehicles to Mykolaiv for use by municipal services and ambulances

A delegation from the French city of Narbonne and the Association Narbonne – Ukraine has arrived in Mykolaiv. French partners have handed over nine vehicles for municipal services, as well as three ambulances, to Mykolaiv.

This was announced by Mykolaiv’s mayor, Oleksandr Sienkevych.

According to him, the 26-strong delegation spent around 72 hours on the road to personally deliver the vehicles and humanitarian aid, including medical supplies for residents in need.

The recipient of donations is the NGO “Mykolaiv Media Hub” (EDRPOU 45160758). By making a donation, you confirm that the amount is non-refundable and may be used by the NGO to implement its statutory activities, including supporting independent journalism and creating socially significant content. During the visit, the parties also discussed further cooperation and the development of partnership relations between the communities.

«This is an example of how international solidarity becomes a real force that helps the city to survive,» noted Oleksandr Sienkevych.

He recalled that cooperation between Mykolaiv and its French partners has been ongoing since 2022. During this time, the city has received dozens of vehicles, aid for hospitals and children, and representatives from Narbonne have visited Mykolaiv on numerous occasions.

The mayor also recalled that on 25 September 2025, an agreement on cooperation was signed between Mykolaiv, the municipality of Narbonne and Greater Narbonne.

As a reminder, the French Ambassador to Ukraine, Gaël Vessier, and the Head of the European Investment Bank’s Regional Centre for Eastern Europe, Kristina Mikulova, previously visited Mykolaiv on a working visit. During their visit, they met with the Mayor, Oleksandr Sienkevych, and the Head of the Regional State Administration, Vitalii Kim, and spoke with journalists from Mykolaiv.
