The Security Service of Ukraine documented the new crimes of the Russian propagandist Margarita Simonyan, who called for the genocide of Ukrainians.

This was reported to the Prosecutor General's Office.

According to the investigation, the editor-in-chief of the propagandist TV channel Russia today was charged with encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine, propaganda of war, justification, recognition as legitimate, denial of armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, glorification of its participants and public calls for genocide.

As the SBU reported, Margarita Simonian was one of the first to support the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation and the war crimes of the Russian occupiers.

It is noted that during a performance at one of these shows on December 23, 2023, she publicly called for the destruction of a patriotic part of the Ukrainian people — residents of the western regions of Ukraine.

Also, the Russian propagandist repeatedly campaigned for the continuation of missile and bomb attacks on the civilian infrastructure of Ukraine. She regularly spreads Kremlin narratives in the form of «author's» posts on her own Telegram channel and on Russian TV channels.

First of all, we are talking about her participation in the television broadcast of another enemy propagandist, Volodymyr Solovyov.

We will remind, in March 2023, Margarita Simonian was already informed of the suspicion of encroaching on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine.

Earlier it was reported that Margarita Simonian is on the list of natural persons against whom the European Union imposes sanctions.
