The head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, Vitalii Kim, said that the Russians are spreading fakes about the escape of officials from the Kherson region because Ukraine has started construction of the second line of defense.

The head of the Mykolaiv Region emphasized that the official Center for Combating Disinformation also confirmed that the data on the evacuation of civil servants from the Kherson Region was a Russian «dump». According to the chairman, the fake spread due to the construction of the second line of defense, which was supposed to be created at the beginning of the Russian-Ukrainian war.

«I will comment on why people perceive this information and it spreads. This is because we are building fortifications, the second and tenth lines of defense, and people think: «Yeah, the authorities are silent, there will be an offensive and we are preparing for defense.» Actually, no. In fact, the military was supposed to build it in 2014, 2022, but they were busy with very important things,» said Vitalii Kim.

Currently, all regional military administrations have joined the construction of fortifications.

«When we talked and consulted with RMA, we reduced this amount to the optimal amount necessary to use less farm land, some were even sown. This is done because it is necessary. This should have appeared a long time ago, so there is no betrayal, no offensive. They «throw it away» because they are afraid that we will do something. And we will, I think. But this is not certain,» added Vitalii Kim.

Earlier, Vitalii Kim reported that the Russian army does not have the ability, in the event of an offensive, to advance as quickly as at the beginning of a full-scale war: «Now there is no risk».
