On the morning of September 2, Russian troops shelled Kyiv. As a result of the missile attack, two people were injured and civil infrastructure was damaged.

This was reported by the Mayor of Kyiv Vitalii Klychko and the Kyiv City Military Administration.

It is noted that cruise missiles (probably X-101) were fired around three in the morning from Tu-95MS strategic bombers from the Saratov region (RF). Simultaneously with the approach of the cruise missiles, the Russians launched Korean KN-24/Iskander-M ballistic missiles, as well as another strike drone, over Kyiv and its suburbs.

According to preliminary information, the debris fell in the Holosiivskyi, Sviatoshynskyi, Dniprovskyi and Shevchenkivskyi districts. In Sviatoshynskyi district, 4 cars were on fire at one of the crash sites, and the fire has been extinguished.

In addition, a fire broke out in a two-story non-residential building in Sviatoshynskyi district. The MAF near the «Sviatoshyn» metro station was damaged, as well as the windows of the metro station building, the station is working.

Also in the Holosiivskyi district, the boiler house was damaged, the fire was extinguished. In the Shevchenkivskyi district, a fire broke out on the territory of one of the enterprises.

«Elimination of the consequences of the enemy attack continues. All emergency services are on site. Currently, as of 06:25, two adults sought help from doctors, one of them was hospitalized,» Vitalii Klychko added.
