Head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration Vitalii Kim believes that the appointment of Kyrylo Budanov and Mykhailo Fedorov to key positions «will strengthen the direction» of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
He said this in an interview with Nataliia Moseichuk.
In his opinion, Kirill Budanov and Mikhail Fedorov have high ratings and enjoy the trust of the people.
«He has now brought Kirill Oleksiiovych (Budanov, — note) and Misha (Mykhailo Fedorov, — note) onto his team, key people with positive ratings and public trust, to fill key positions in his team. In my opinion, this will further strengthen and consolidate the direction he (Volodymyr Zelenskyy, — note) has chosen. He will fight to the end for the country. And he has no other way,» said Vitalii Kim.
As is known, on 2 January, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy appointed Kyrylo Budanov as head of the President's Office. He added that Kyrylo Budanov has experience in these areas and «sufficient strength to achieve results.»
Subsequently, on 14 January, MPs supported the appointment of Mykhailo Fedorov as Minister of Defence of Ukraine. 277 MPs voted in favour of the decision, while 9 abstained. None of the MPs voted against it.
Before the vote, candidate for minister Mykhailo Fedorov emphasised the «large number of problems» that need to be solved. According to him, today «it is impossible to fight with new technologies and an old organisational structure.» Therefore, he named the main goals of his work as army reform, improving infrastructure on the front lines, and «eradicating lies and corruption.»
Earlier, Vitaliш Kim said that after the dismissal of Andrii Yermak, the position of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had «significantly improved.» At the same time, he stated that Volodymyr Zelenskyy had «sacrificed his personal life for the sake of the country.»
Recall that the head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, Vitalii Kim, commented on the prospects for the military's participation in elections and the country's political life. He stressed that military experience does not always mean readiness for senior government positions.
