Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy summarised the outcomes of his meetings with European partners in Yerevan ahead of the European Political Community summit.
According to the head of state, the talks focused on three key areas: diplomacy to end the war, financial support for Ukraine and strengthening defence capabilities.
«Firstly: we are doing everything to bring about a dignified end to the war. I briefed our partners on the state of diplomacy, possible prospects and planned contacts. Joint efforts are needed to step up diplomacy and prevent any easing of pressure on the aggressor…», he noted.
Separately, the President emphasised the importance of implementing the €90 billion European aid package.
«Secondly: the implementation of the €90 billion European support package for Ukraine — we are accelerating this funding,» said Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The discussion also covered strengthening air defence and supporting the energy sector.
«Thirdly: strengthening Ukraine’s air defence and providing energy support for Ukraine, as well as cooperation with partners in the energy sector,» he added.
The President noted that Ukraine is already preparing for the next heating season and is working to diversify assistance in this area.
In addition, during his visit to Yerevan, Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš. The parties discussed in detail the development of bilateral relations between Ukraine and the Czech Republic. The Head of State emphasised that there is potential for further strengthening cooperation.
