The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Denmark told what the office of the embassy in Mykolaiv will do

The Chancellery of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Denmark in Ukraine will invest in the development of business and the needs of the Mykolaiv region, without waiting for the end of the war.

This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Denmark, Lars Rasmussen, during his visit to Mykolaiv, NikVesti reports.

Among the most striking restoration projects implemented with the participation of Denmark, the minister mentioned the enterprise «Agrofusion» in the Snihurivka district. According to Lars Rasmussen, it is assumed that this year's harvest will be used to make tomato paste for export.

«Today I was encouraged by the example of a tomato factory, which grew and started working thanks to Denmark's credit mechanisms. We predict that the harvest in 2024 will be as it should be, and tomato paste will be produced from it, which is, accordingly, exports, taxes to the regional economy, to the national economy. This is just one good example of what we are trying to achieve. In order not to wait for peace to come and invest in business. So, a lot is in the pipeline and the whole idea of creating this office is to be able to help and pay attention to local needs. We are aware that it is about basic things: clean water, water supply. waste management, creating more shelters that allow people to return and live their daily lives,» said Lars Rasmussen.

Mykolaiv plant «Agrofusion»

As you know, two plants of the Agrofusion company have suffered significant destruction since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. All three plants of the company were damaged.

In 2022, the company managed to produce 6% of the paste from the usual volume. For this, she implemented certain emergency procedures. In particular, the manufacturer leased 1,000 acres of land in the Odesa region, where 80,000 tons of tomatoes were grown in one year.

At that time, the main enterprises in the Mykolaiv region were either under constant fire, or were located in the occupied territory. In particular, Snihurivka was under occupation for 9 months. During this time, almost all stocks of pasta in warehouses were destroyed, all equipment at the factory was stolen or mutilated

In April 2023, the company resumed its work in the Mykolaiv region.

Earlier, the owner of the Agrofusion company Serhii Sypko talked about how the full-scale war affected the work of his company. In particular, according to him, the company's taxes «fell» eight times, and the number of workers decreased significantly. As for taxes, in 2021 Agrofusion paid 420 million hryvnias to the budgets.
