Reconstruction of Lyceum №60 in Mykolaiv: 15% of works have been completed so far

As of November 2024, the destroyed building of the Mykolaiv Lyceum №60 in Varvarivka has been rebuilt by 15%. The works started in the summer of this year.

This is evidenced by the report on the use of allocated funds from the Fund for the Liquidation of the Consequences of Armed Aggression for the implementation of ten projects in the Mykolaiv region, which is at the disposal of NikVesti.

Currently, out of 75.6 million hryvnias allocated from the state budget, 19.5 million hryvnias have been spent.

At the same time, the remaining unused funds as of December 31, 2024, which were allocated this year from the state budget for the implementation of projects in the Mykolayiv region, will be returned to the state budget.

According to the document, the contractor performed dismantling work, excavation of the pit soil, concrete preparation, poured the foundation slab and bricked the foundation blocks, made a monolithic belt and poured the floor slab. He has also already purchased elevator equipment and a septic tank.

Reconstruction of Lyceum №60

The educational institution was destroyed in July 2022. As a result of the attack, one of the buildings of the lyceum was destroyed, and the playground nearby was also damaged.

In December 2023, the Urban Planning Department of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences announced a tender for the reconstruction of the destroyed building of Lyceum №60 in Varvarivka. The contractor was Interbud Construction Company, which offered to perform the works for 102.5 million hryvnias.

This year, the government allocated 76.6 million hryvnias for the reconstruction of the educational institution. And the contractor company started the reconstruction of the lyceum in the summer of 2024. The works are planned to be completed in August 2025.

A new three-story building is planned to be built at the lyceum, according to the developed project provided by the editors of NikVesti. On the first floor, it is planned to place a dressing room, classrooms, a library reading room, a choreography hall, bathrooms and utility rooms. On the second floor, there are classrooms, the director's office, bathrooms, physics and chemistry classrooms, a chemistry laboratory, a sports hall, a projectile room, bathrooms and utility rooms. And on the third floor — a rehearsal hall, an assembly hall, a dressing room, a teacher's room, a resource room, an office and a biology laboratory, a sports hall, classrooms, bathrooms and utility rooms. An elevator is also planned to be installed in the new building.

It should be noted that the educational institution was the first object of the city program «Warm House». After renovation, it was opened in the fall of 2018. Note that the Russian Federation launched a missile attack on another building of the facility.
