In 2025, the total funding gap for reconstruction in Ukraine is almost ten billion dollars.
This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal following the 13th meeting of the Platform's Steering Committee.
He also noted that in 2025, with the support of donors, the government has allocated more than seven billion dollars for priority recovery, but there is an overall deficit.
«In 2025, with the support of donors, the Government allocated almost $7.4 billion for priority recovery. At the same time, the overall financing gap for recovery needs in 2025 is almost $10 billion. Therefore, it remains extremely important to finance other critical projects», the Prime Minister said.
According to him, this year's need for international support is more than $39 billion, and Ukraine has confirmation from its partners that this need will be covered.
«This year, our budgetary need for international support is $39.3 billion, and we have confirmation from our partners that this need will be covered. We are already working on support for 2026», he said.
As a reminder, as of the end of March 2025, the contractor has already completed 67% of the work on the restoration of the historic building of the Mykolaiv Gymnasium (Lyceum).
