In Mykolaiv, a hybrid solar power plant was installed near one of the water dispensing points, which ensures uninterrupted water supply during blackouts. The cost of the installation is more than 1 million hryvnias, its capacity is 15 kW.

According to the director of OKP Mykolaivoblteploenergo Mykola Lohvinov, this power is enough to ensure uninterrupted operation of pumps, water purification systems, as well as automatic water dispensing units. The solar power plant is hybrid, so it is planned to be used not only during blackouts or accidents.

In a few weeks, a similar station will be operational at another water outlet, and installation and adjustment work is currently underway.

The company notes that they are actively negotiating with donor organizations and partners for the further implementation of the project. 34 water supply points have been identified, which are planned to be connected to green energy in the future.

Solar installations will be installed at delivery points in densely populated areas of the city. In addition, it is planned to create a map with the addresses of such pumps, which will help residents quickly find the nearest point and collect water during power outages.
