The Inhulets River Canal Administration paid 1.2 million hryvnias in damages for emissions of pollutants into the air.
This was reported in the State Environmental Inspection of the South-Western District.
It is indicated that in 2017, during the inspection of the Bashtanka inter-district water management, emissions of pollutants into the air without a permit were recorded. The enterprise was charged with environmental damage of 1 million 286 thousand 193 hryvnias.
The commercial court of the Mykolaiv region ordered the violator to pay the amount of damage. In September 2024, the Inhulets River Canal Administration, which acts as the public legal successor of the Bashtanka Interdistrict Water Management, paid the entire amount of damages.
We will remind that the amount of damage to the ecology of the Mykolaiv region since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine amounted to more than 90 billion hryvnias.
