Bashtanka City Council plans to allocate ₴30 million to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine in 2025.

This is stated in the programme of support for military units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for 2025-2026, which was approved by the session of the Bashtanka City Council, NikVesti reports.

The funds will be used to provide the military with the necessary equipment, machinery, protective equipment, etc.

According to the information, as of 17 October 2024, the city council provided assistance to military units in the amount of ₴14.2 million. The funds were used to purchase drones, vehicles, medical equipment, medicines and other essential supplies.

The programme for 2025-2026 provides for funding of ₴60 million, ₴30 million annually. The main areas of support are as follows:

• procurement of equipment, machinery and fuel;
• provision of construction materials and equipment;
• training of volunteer units;
• improving the conditions of military units.

The session also recommended that the financial department of the Bashtanka City Council allocate funds for the programme.

Earlier, Bashtanka Mayor Oleksandr Berehovyi noted that this was not the first time the community had provided financial assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In total, the city council has already allocated ₴28 million 700 thousand to support the Ukrainian military.
