Ukraine has received the first tranche of a €3 billion loan from the «Group of Seven», which will be covered by frozen Russian assets.
This was reported on X network by the head of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen.
«After almost three years since the beginning of Russia's aggressive war, Ukraine can continue to count on its friends and partners. Today we have delivered €3 billion to Ukraine, the first disbursement of the EU's share of the G7 loan. This gives Ukraine the financial strength to continue the fight for its freedom and to defeat», she wrote.
As a reminder, in December 2024, Ukraine received one billion dollars from the United States, secured by the proceeds of frozen Russian assets.
