Four more official places for temporary storage of waste from destructions are to be approved

There is only one official location for temporary placement of construction debris created as a result of Russian shelling in Mykolaiv Oblast. Another four communities are at the stage of approval of documents.

This is stated in the article «NikVesti» — «Waste reform on the way to the EU: how Mykolaiv Oblast is learning to deal with waste according to new standards».

The Mykolayiv RMA reported that one place for the storage of waste from destruction has been officially determined in the region — the Mykolayiv city landfill.

In addition, four communities, namely Snihurivka city community, Novyy Buh city community, Pryvilne village community and Inhul village community, applied to the regional military administration to determine places for temporary storage of waste from the destruction. Now the approval of places and areas is in progress.

We remind that in June of this year in Mykolaiv they started to clean up the garbage that remained after the destruction of residential buildings as a result of Russian airstrikes.

all garbage is taken to a specially designated site at the municipal solid waste disposal site in the village of Vesnyane. The cost of the works is UAH 3.4 million. In the future, waste is planned to be crushed and reused.

To do this, by the end of 2023, Mykolaiv must receive from international donors a shredder for construction waste, which was formed as a result of shelling and bombing of the city.

Also, Mykolayiv expects from Japanese partners new equipment for dismantling destroyed buildings and recycling construction waste.
