There are no plans to increase the cost of travel on public transport in Voznesensk.

This was announced by the mayor of Voznesensk, Yevhenii Velychko, to NikVesti.

It should be noted that posts appeared on social media from city residents expressing concern about a possible increase in fares after transport companies raised fares in neighbouring communities, in particular in the Buzke community.

«Will the townspeople, as always, find out about this after the fact? That is, like last time, when you get on the bus in the morning and the driver tells you, 'The fare has already gone up',» wrote resident Kateryna Zhdanova on her page.

In response, the mayor of Voznesensk assured that there are currently no grounds for raising fares.

«The carrier has not approached us on this matter. I know that prices have risen in the district, so people are worried. People in the district were getting on minibuses and being told, 'From today, it's 40 hryvnias'. Fortunately, we have not received any notifications from the carrier. We are monitoring this issue. At the moment, there are no plans to increase prices,» said Yevhenii Velychko.

Earlier, NikVesti reported that there are ongoing problems with public transport in Voznesensk: private carriers are not putting buses on routes, and residents are only being informed about this after the fact.
