New shelters will be built and schools will be renovated for ₴28.7 million in Mykolaiv

Next year in Mykolaiv, they plan to spend almost 29 million hryvnias on the construction of shelters and the repair of educational institutions.

These funds are provided for in the draft city budget for 2025, writes NikVesti.

Financing of these projects will take place within the framework of the «Construction of educational institutions and institutions» program.

Creation of new shelters in educational institutions:

Mykolaiv Gymnasium №14: It is planned to develop design and cost documentation for the creation of a shelter by May 25, 2025. The cost of documentation is 840 thousand hryvnias.

Mykolaiv Lyceum №8: To create a shelter for 906 thousand hryvnias, project and cost documentation will be developed by April 15, 2025.

Mykolaiv Gymnasium №33: Project and estimate documentation for 854,000 hryvnias for the construction of a shelter must be ready by May 30, 2025.

Gymnasium №18: For this school, project and estimate documentation for 1 million hryvnias must be developed by March 3, 2025.

Gymnasium №10: Project and estimate documentation will be ready by March 31, 2025. The cost of documentation is 1.3 million hryvnias.

Lyceum «Academy of Children's Creativity»: For this institution, a shelter project for 1.3 million hryvnias will be developed by March 17, 2025.

DNZ №75, №65, №126: Shelter will also be arranged for these institutions.

Basement of building №2 of Chaika Mykolaiv Lyceum №38 will be converted into an anti-radiation shelter. According to Prozorro, the works are scheduled to be completed by February 25, 2025, and the total budget for these works is 19.9 million hryvnias.

Update of educational and artistic facilities:

Reconstruction of Mykolaiv Gymnasium №48, which was destroyed by Russian shelling in 2022.

Children's music school № 5: According to the Dream ecosystem. The approximate budget of the project is 23 million 209 thousand 125 hryvnias. The duration of its implementation is 24 months. In 2024, 8 million hryvnias were provided from the city budget for school reconstruction.

Palace of Student Creativity: In 2025, the reconstruction of the Palace of Student Creativity at 31 Admiralska Street is also planned. The design and cost documentation will be ready by December 14, 2024, and the project costs will amount to 630,000 hryvnias. In addition, the shelter will be repaired there for 2 million hryvnias. The contractor is obliged to complete the work by December 16, 2024.

On the territory of the Mykolaiv Gymnasium №31, a sports ground with landscaping will be built.

We will remind you that during the years 2025-2027, the Mykolaiv City Council plans to allocate 245 million 485 thousand hryvnias for the arrangement of shelters in educational institutions.

According to the project, they want to allocate 75 million hryvnias for these measures in 2025, 82.8 million hryvnias in 2026, and 87.6 million hryvnias in 2027. In the coming year, it is planned to start the renovation of the public school for gymnasiums №10 and 18, Lyceum №8 and the Academy of Children's Creativity.

As previously written by NikVesti, there are 31 secondary education institutions operating in Mykolaiv in full-time/mixed format. Another 11 educational institutions plan to work part-time/mixed after the completion of repair work in shelters and buildings.

On the other hand, only 22 out of 73 preschool educational institutions are functioning in Mykolaiv today, in which 5,046 children study. They have already finished repairing the shelter in another kindergarten, it should be operational in the near future. Work continues in another 14 kindergartens.
