In half a year, Russian shelling caused damage to the ecosystem of Mykolaiv Oblast for more than 30 million hryvnias.
Damages from the fires caused by the Russians were assessed by the State Environmental Inspection of Ukraine.
Since the beginning of the year, as a result of enemy shelling in the Mykolaiv region, fires have occurred in the ecosystems of six communities: Kutsurub, Prybuzhany, Gorokhivka, Stepove, Bratske, Kostiantynivka, and Olshanka. The total area of these fires reached 14 hectares.
As experts noted, emissions of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere exceeded 9.6 thousand tons.
According to the consequences of such fires, eco-inspectors made 11 calculations of the amount of damage caused during unorganized emissions of polluting substances or a mixture of such substances.
We will remind that on Monday, July 8, during the Russian attack on Ukraine, Mykolaiv region was hit. As a result of the attack, five fires broke out, the total area of which was more than 100 hectares.
