Russia does not plan to make public the content of the talks with the United States that took place on 24 March in Riyadh.
This was stated by the Russian president's spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, explaining that the meeting was «technical in nature».
«We are talking about technical negotiations, immersion in details. Therefore, their content will definitely not be published», he said.
Dmitry Peskov also added that reports on the results of the talks have already been sent to the Russian and American capitals for analysis.
Earlier, CBS News reported that the United States and Russia may issue a joint statement following the meeting. According to Russian media, the talks between the delegations of the two countries in Saudi Arabia lasted 12 hours with interruptions and focused on ending the war in Ukraine.
As a reminder, on 23 March, Ukraine and the United States also held talks in Saudi Arabia to discuss shipping safety and ending attacks on Ukrainian ports.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the meeting between the Ukrainian and American teams in Saudi Arabia was constructive.
