Ukrainian analogues of Lancet drones have passed preliminary tests and are already preparing for the first combat tests.
Deputy Prime Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov announced this on YouTube channel «Diia».
It is noted that drones from four companies were tested in recent days, and two of them were successfully tested.
Mykhailo Fedorov noted that in the future of several months it will be possible to organize the production of about 100 such drones per month.
Such drones are controlled by a video channel, which allows you to guide and correct the movement during the defeat.
In addition, such drones have a target capture function, which allows you to target the target in the last 300-500 meters before impact without direct communication with the drone.
The head of the Ministry of Digital Affairs also emphasized the need to introduce the market of such drones. The next stage will be testing on the battlefield.
«This is a technological product, so it was not possible to launch it immediately, it was necessary to launch the market... and now we have the result. 2-3 competing products will appear on the market, and in a year there will be a dozen such companies,» said the Deputy Prime Minister.
According to him, «Lancet» allows you to increase the distance of the equipment's impression, it works for 30-40 km, FPV drones work for 10-20 km. Another advantage of the Lancet-type drone is that it can work during the day, because large quadcopters can only work under the cover of night.
Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov called on Ukrainians to join the «People's Drone» project, which will teach how to assemble 7-inch FPV drones at home.
