Fragments of a cruise missile were found in one of the fields in the Voznesensk District of the Mykolaiv Oblast.

As reported in the Main Department of the State Service for Emergency Situations in Mykolaiv Oblast, the dangerous object was found by locals.

As the rescuers noted, the wreckage turned out to be safe. Sappers lifted them with the help of a heavy pyrotechnic machine with a manipulator and transported them to a special storage place.

It should be noted that significant territories of Ukraine have become dangerous due to mining. Currently, our country is considered one of the most mined in the world. Only since February 24, 2022, 309 people have died from the detonation of mines and explosive objects. About 142 thousand km² are considered potentially mined.

Due to the hostilities taking place in the Mykolaiv region, the territories of the region also became dangerous, especially the de-occupied Snihurivka region.

In today's realities, everyone should know the rules of mine safety. This is emphasized by Yevhen Skumbrii, the deputy head of the pyrotechnics section of underwater and humanitarian demining. He told the editors of NikVesti about mines that occur in de-occupied territories and how to recognize them.

In general, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, as of November 18, pyrotechnic units destroyed 26,875 munitions on the territory of the Mykolaiv region.
