Two projects to reconstruct heating networks have been implemented in Mykolaiv to help the city reduce natural gas consumption and save 19% of electricity.
This was reported by the Mykolaiv City Council.
It is noted that the heating networks in the Inhulskyi district are in poor condition, which leads to water and heat losses. This problem is currently being addressed by replacing the network with modern pre-insulated two-pipe systems.
In 2024, new pipelines were laid, and in 2025, the area will be brought into proper condition. Once the work is fully completed, these two facilities will be transferred to the balance sheet of the Utility Company «Mykolaivoblteploenergo».
«This way we will be able to save energy supplies (by about 19%) and, accordingly, reduce natural gas consumption», added the mayor of the city, Oleksandr Sienkevych.
It is noted that the reconstruction of heating networks is being carried out under the DemoUkrainaDH programme with the support of the Nordic Environment Finance Corporation (NEFCO).
It is worth reminding that in 2025, the programme «Warm Mykolaiv» will include energy audits, technical inspections of buildings, reconstruction of heating networks and compensation of loans for energy saving in residential buildings. 67.3 million hryvnias is needed to implement the planned measures.
