The bodies of 100 dead Ukrainian soldiers were returned to Ukraine, and after identification, they will be handed over to their families for a dignified burial.

This was reported in the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War.

«The Armed Forces of Ukraine ensure the transportation of repatriated bodies and remains to designated state institutions for transfer to representatives of law enforcement agencies and forensic medical experts to identify the victims,» the message reads.

We will remind that another repatriation event was held on February 16, as a result of which 58 fallen defenders were returned to Ukraine.

It was also reported that more than 2,800 bodies and body fragments of military personnel have been identified in Ukraine.
