The Russian army hit a private house of a resident of the village of Stepok in Sumy Oblast. Its owner, 60-year-old Oleksandr Mykolaiovych, died as a result of the impact. The man was the only one left to live in the village after the full-scale Russian invasion.
The son of the dead man told «Suspilne» about this.
As noted, the man's body was found at noon on January 24.
The death of a civilian in Stepok is also confirmed by the Krasnopillia settlement council of the Sumy region.
The son of the deceased notes that there was a direct hit of an enemy projectile in the room where the man was. His father was the last inhabitant of the village, all other people evacuated.
«The information arrived this week. It was a direct hit to the house. He probably died last weekend, maybe it was Monday, the end is still unknown,» reports the secretary of the Krasnopillia settlement council, Iryna Yukhta.
The SSU started an investigation into the fact of violation of the laws and customs of war, combined with intentional murder (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
As you know, the village of Stepok is located not far from the border with the aggressor country, next to the Pokrovka-Kolotylivka humanitarian crossing.
We will remind you that on Wednesday, January 24, the Russians launched a rocket attack on a residential building in the city of Hirnyk, Donetsk region. As a result of the attack, there are civilian casualties.
As you know, Russian troops fired at the enterprise in the Kremenchuk district of the Poltava region in the evening of January 27. Previously, the enemy used two ballistic missiles.
