Canada plans to provide Ukraine with a military aid package worth 64.8 million Canadian dollars (47 million US dollars).

This was announced by Defense Minister Bill Blair, writes Reuters.

The package includes small arms, ammunition and protective equipment. In addition, funding is provided for the training of the Ukrainian military.

The package is part of the 500 million Canadian dollars in military funding that was allocated by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in July. Bill Blair noted that this aid provides Ukraine with important resources to defend against Russian aggression, and Canada will continue to support Ukraine to victory.

Last month, Canada announced the transfer of 80,840 CRV-7 rocket engines and 1,300 warheads to Ukraine. Since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Canada has already allocated 4.5 billion Canadian dollars in military aid.

It will be recalled that also in April, the Minister of National Defense of Canada, Bill Blair, announced the allocation of 2.1 million dollars for the production of drones by the Ukrainian defense industry.
