US to provide Ukraine with $15bn from proceeds of frozen Russian assets

The United States of America will provide Ukraine with $15 billion secured by future income from Russia's frozen assets.
This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal on 30 December.
He noted that the relevant agreement was signed between the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine and the World Bank.
According to Denys Shmyhal, the funds were allocated under the PEACE in Ukraine project and part of the US contribution of $20 billion under the G7 initiative.
To recap, US President Joe Biden announced another $2.5 billion aid package for Ukraine.
