Russia attacks Kyiv with drones: three people killed, including a 5-year-old child

On the night of 23 March, the Russian army attacked Kyiv with attack drones. The attack killed three people, including a 5-year-old child, and injured ten others.
According to the Kyiv City Military Administration, drone wreckage was found in five districts of the capital — Dniprovskyi, Podilskyi, Holosiivskyi, Desnianskyi, and Shevchenkivskyi.
In the Dniprovskyi district, a drone hit a high-rise building, causing a fire on the upper floors. The fire spread to the roof, killing a woman and evacuating 27 people. In the same area, drone debris damaged an apartment in a 16-storey building and caused a fire in a catering establishment, the SES reported.
In Podilskyi district, the 20th floor of a 25-storey building caught fire, and the fire was extinguished.
A fire in an office and warehouse building in Holosiivskyi district is being extinguished. A residential trailer and trucks also burned down there. One person died as a result.
In Desnianskyi district, a fire broke out in a forest belt, and in Shevchenkivskyi district, two cars were damaged by debris.
According to the National Police, a 5-year-old child and his father were among the dead. The youngest of the victims was 11 months old.
As a reminder, on 22 March, Russian troops carried out a series of attacks on settlements in the Mykolaiv region. The fall of the wreckage of a downed drone and a blast wave damaged a country house in the village of Lupareve. One of the strikes also damaged the boiler rooms of an educational institution in Ochakiv.
