In Romania, wreckage of Russian Shahed type drones, which were launched against civilian objects in Ukraine near the Romanian border, was discovered again.

This information was confirmed by the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania.

In the evening of July 24, a Ro-Alert air alarm sounded in Tulcea County. Local residents were warned about the possibility of debris falling from the airspace near the border with Ukraine. Subsequently, the Ministry of Defense of Romania confirmed that the wreckage of the Russian Geran drone was found in Plauru district, Tulcea district.

Currently, teams of the Ministry of Defense are conducting an on-site investigation to identify possible debris. Specialists began surveying the first of three possible areas where the drones fell. The ministry provides real-time information to allies.

«Russia has carried out even more terrible attacks on Ukrainian civilian infrastructure. Debris was found on the territory of Romania. We have informed our allies and are coordinating with them. Romania strongly condemns these irresponsible actions,» Romanian Foreign Minister Luminica Odobescu condemned the Russian attack.

Earlier, on the night of December 14, when Russia massively attacked the port infrastructure in the south of Ukraine with drones, a Russian drone fell on the territory of Romania.

After that, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania summoned the Russian ambassador in Bucharest Valery Kuzmin after the fall of a Russian drone on the territory of the country.

It will be recalled that in September 2023, fragments of a rocket were found in a lake near the village of Farladan in the Kaushan district of Moldova. Villagers noticed some components in the lake that could have come from a rocket that may have landed in the area. Authorities confirmed that the debris came from an air-to-air missile.
