Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk plans to hold talks with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, French President Emmanuel Macron and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte in the coming days. The main topic will be the question of a possible change in the US position regarding the war in Ukraine, due to the victory of Donald Trump in the elections.

This is reported by The Times.

Trump has repeatedly questioned American support for Ukraine and announced the conclusion of a peace agreement «in 24 hours.» The publication notes that Britain, Poland and France are considered key countries that can prevent the new US administration from making a deal with Putin behind Ukraine's back.

«The formed political landscape is a serious challenge for everyone, especially in connection with a possible agreement between the Russian president and the new US president,» Tusk said.

He will meet Starmer in Warsaw or London this week. And will also receive Macron and Rutte in Poland, trying to ensure Western support for Ukraine through the European alliance, which will include the countries of Northern Europe and the Baltic States. His initiative to form an alliance around Ukraine shows the concern of Europe.

«We will intensively coordinate cooperation with countries that share our vision of geopolitics and the situation in Ukraine. No one wants the escalation of the conflict, but also no one wants the weakening or even the capitulation of Ukraine. This would be a fundamental threat to Poland and Polish interests,» said the Polish Prime Minister.

We will remind that the spokesman of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, Dmytro Peskov, denied the information published by the Washington Post that Putin and the newly elected President of the United States had a telephone conversation.

It will be recalled that earlier the Washington Post, citing its own sources, reported that Donald Trump had a telephone conversation with Vladimir Putin on November 7. One of the newspaper's interlocutors noted that Trump advised the Russian leader not to escalate the war in Ukraine, recalling the «significant military presence» of the United States in Europe.

It will be recalled that Donald Trump Jr., the son of the newly elected US president, published a video on his Instagram mocking the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The video says that Ukraine will lose the support of the United States in 38 days.

Election of the 47th President of the USA

Voting in the presidential elections ended on November 6 in the USA — the last polling stations were closed in Alaska. Even before the official results were announced, Donald Trump declared himself the winner of the election. The Republican received 240 votes, while Democrat Kamala Harris received 213.

During the speech in Florida, Trump already made a number of statements. In particular, he assured that he plans to stop all wars in the world.

A number of country leaders have already congratulated Trump on his victory: French President Emmanuel Macron, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. For the first time, they commented on the results of the US elections in China, expressing hope for further peaceful and mutually beneficial relations.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy also congratulated US President Donald Trump on his victory in the elections. He noted that he hopes for the implementation of the «peace through strength» approach for a just end to the war in Ukraine.

Also, Vice President Kamala Harris called Donald Trump to congratulate him on his victory in the presidential elections.

But in Russia, they are in no hurry to congratulate Trump on his victory. The press secretary of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Dmytro Peskov, said that he did not know whether the leader of the new president would welcome them, because «the USA is an unfriendly country.»

We will remind that the candidate for the presidency of the United States, Donald Trump, officially won the election, having received 277 votes of the voters against the required 270.

In addition, the fortunes of the ten richest people in the world increased sharply by 63.5 billion dollars after the victory of Donald Trump in the presidential elections in the United States.
