President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that since 2014, Russia has violated the ceasefire more than 25 times.
He said this in a speech at the International Summit in Support of Ukraine, which is being held in Kyiv with the participation of a number of partners on the third anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion,
Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed that a reliable and lasting peace is «much more than silence at the front», it will not work without security guarantees.
«A reliable and lasting peace is much more than silence at the front. We remember that since 2014, Russia has violated the ceasefire more than 25 times... When General Kellogg (US Special Representative for Ukraine and Russia, — note) was in Ukraine, I handed him and the President of the United States a document with a list of all «ceasefires» with specific dates that Russia has broken. Therefore, peace can be the result of balanced diplomacy and absolutely clear security guarantees», the president said.
To recap, Volodymyr Zelenskyy also said that the first step towards peace talks between Russia and Ukraine could be an exchange of prisoners in the format of «all for all». Ukraine is ready for such a step.
