He posted this on his social media.
«I had a positive, very informative and frank conversation with US President Donald Trump. I thanked him for the good and productive start to the work of the Ukrainian and American teams in Jeddah on 11 March. This meeting of the teams helped to make significant progress towards ending the war», he wrote.
He added that Donald Trump shared the details of his conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
«One of the first steps towards a complete end to the war could be to stop strikes on energy and other civilian infrastructure. I supported this step, and Ukraine confirmed that we are ready to implement it», he added.
In his turn, Donald Trump called today's phone conversation with Volodymyr Zelenskyy «very good».
What is known about Trump's phone call with Putin?
The phone call lasted 1.5 hours. During the call, Russian President Vladimir Putin supported US President Donald Trump's proposal to temporarily suspend strikes on energy infrastructure for 30 days and gave the appropriate command to the military.
It also became known that peace talks will begin with technical discussions on the implementation of a naval truce in the Black Sea. According to the White House, negotiations on a naval truce will begin in the Middle East in the near future.
