President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Europe must take part in negotiations to end the war.
He said this during a press conference after a meeting of leaders to discuss support for Ukraine and security in Europe.
According to him, Kyiv is not considering any other initiatives. France and the UK will represent Europe in these talks.
«We are not considering alternatives, this is our clear position. Europe is very big and it should have a clear representation at this negotiating table. Today we have all agreed that Europe will be represented by France and the UK. Macron and Starmer. I think this is also important. And we want to send this signal to other partners, certainly to the United States of America. And I think that each of these summits will show us our steps more clearly», he said.
Earlier, Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Vladimir Putin «is afraid to tell US President Donald Trump directly» that Russia wants to continue the war. According to him, this is why Moscow is framing the idea of silence with such preconditions that «nothing happens at all or that it doesn't happen for as long as possible».
