Ukrainian troops withdraw units from Vuhledar

In order to preserve the lives of Ukrainian soldiers, the higher military command gave permission to withdraw units from Vuhledar.

This was reported in the press service of the Khortytsia operational-strategic troop grouping.

«The higher command has given permission to carry out a maneuver to withdraw units from Ugledar for the purpose of preserving personnel and combat equipment, taking a position for further actions,» the message says.

As the military explained, after heavy losses in long battles, the enemy did not give up trying to capture Vuhledar. In order to take the city, he sent reserves for flanking attacks, which weakened the defense of the Ukrainian troops. This created a threat to the surrounding of the city.
