Mykolaiv Oblast will need several weeks to restore heat networks after the Russians struck a critical infrastructure facility in Mykolaiv on October 10.

Vitalii Kim, the head of Mykolaiv RMA, announced this on the telethon Edyni Novyny.

He noted that the infrastructure was 100% ready for the attack, but the Russians struck one of the facilities, which damaged the networks. It will take a week or two for them to be restored, he said, but only a small number of consumers are affected.

«For now, unless there are force majeure circumstances on the part of the Russians, we will launch everything according to the schedule,» said Vitalii Kim.

He also added that despite the difficulties in restoring generation and distribution capacities, existing resources allow the heating season to pass.

«Currently, the capacities we have allow us to go through the heating season, but at the same time there are significant risks due to shelling by the Russians,» said the head of the RMA.

We will remind you that on Thursday, October 10, the Russian army hit Mykolaiv twice with ballistics. The first blow was heard at 11:45, 7 minutes after the air raid alert. As a result of rocket fire, two people were injured.
