In the Mykolaiv region, agricultural producers will be able to receive partial compensation for the costs of constructing and renovating land improvement systems — up to 50%, but not exceeding 26,500 hryvnias per hectare.
This was announced on 18 March during a briefing by Yurii Yaskiv, Head of the Land Issues Regulation Division of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration’s Department of Agro-Industrial Development, and Volodymyr Afanasiev, Chief Specialist of the Agro-Industrial Production Division of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration’s Department of Agro-Industrial Development, according to NikVesti.
Water user organisations are also eligible for reimbursement of up to 10% of the cost of reconstruction and major repairs to pumping stations.
For the region’s de-occupied territories, the level of support is planned to be increased to 80% of costs.
In addition, other areas of the agricultural sector will be developed in the Mykolaiv region. In particular, this involves support for aquaculture in frontline areas: farmers will be compensated for up to 30% of the costs of fish stock.
Direct financial aid is also provided for farms in the frontline areas of the region — 1,000 hryvnias per hectare.
The Ministry of Economy has reported that, according to the decisions adopted, 570 businesses in the Mykolaiv region are set to receive support in 2025. The total amount of aid stands at 210 million hryvnias, with payments planned for this year depending on available financial resources. Furthermore, the region plans to introduce a comprehensive agricultural insurance system.
It should be noted that in 2025, farmers in the Mykolaiv region produced less agricultural output than in the previous year. The overall figure fell to 86%, with the sharpest decline recorded in crop production, whilst livestock farming was less affected.
