In the coming days, Energoatom will take out the thousandth power unit for repair. In this connection, the deficit in the energy system may increase.
This was reported by the company's press service.
«Given this, as well as the increase in electricity consumption in July, the generation deficit in the power system may increase. But, on the other hand, this kind of repair schedule will make it possible to reduce the duration of forced power outages as much as possible in the fall,» the report says.
Energoatom notes that this year repairs are being carried out at the 8 power units of the Rivne, Yuzhnoukrainsk and Khmelnytskyi NPPs. Planned preventive maintenance has not been carried out at the Zaporizhzhia NPP since its occupation.
The works are being carried out according to the schedule of the repair campaign agreed by Ukrenergo, the schedule is optimal and takes into account the complexity of the energy supply situation, the company says.
We will remind that the director of the fixed internet development department of the Ministry of Digital Transformation, Yurii Matsyk, said that during power outages, as a result of the mass transition to mobile internet, the load on the networks of mobile operators increases sharply.
It was previously reported that power outages for the population, which began on May 14, 2024, will last until August-September. In winter, a deficit in the energy system is predicted even at high temperatures.
Recently, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said that the Ministry of Energy and Ukrenergo should develop a resolution that will regulate «fair schedules of turning off the lights for consumers.»
We would like to remind you that you can find out information about when exactly the shutdowns will be applied in your region in the consumer's office or on the official websites of oblenergo.
