Two years without water: residents of Partyzanske in the Mykolaiv region are asking for water supply to be restored

For two years, there has been no water supply in Partyzanske, Mykolaiv Oblast. Due to shelling by the Russians, the water supply system in the village was damaged.

This is stated in the NikVesti report «Life in a village where only 2 houses survived».

Today, one water tower is operating in Partyzanske, but due to the large number of surges in the network, it has not yet been possible to restore the water supply.

«Today, the most painful problem is water supply. Because summer is coming, something needs to be watered, but there is no water,» says Mariia Shulhina, a resident of Partyzanske.

Since the partisans were in the line of fire for 9 months of full-scale war, 98% of the houses were destroyed here. Local residents are asking for the water supply to be restored, because they desperately need water to rebuild their homes. Most of the residents of Partyzanske are pensioners who cannot buy the necessary amount of water for retirement. Viktor Yevych, a resident of the village, says that one barrel costs 600 hryvnias here today.

Raisa Shulha, the mayor of Partizansky, hopes that the water supply will soon be restored. The «Solidarity» organization promised to deal with this issue. However, no one can yet name even an approximate period when the residents of Partizansky should wait for water.

«The «Solidarity» Foundation promises us to carry water, they already have everything in the project. Even Maksym Valeriyovych Korovai (the head of the Pervomaisk UTC, note) said that they will repair the system for us, but they don't tell us exactly when it will happen,» said the head woman.

Previously, NikVesti visited the villages of Lupareve and Lymany. For the life of settlements in the conditions of war and reconstruction, see the report «How to live in a village when the occupiers are across the river».
